Maria Sharapova open her Wimbledon by beating Anastasia Pivovarova 6-1 6-0. The 2004 champ needed 54 minutes to advance. Sharapova had a 51% 1st serves in but won 94% of them. Sharapova will play the winner of Ioana Raluca Olaru or Alize Cornet.
